Shooter's daughter is a millennial, but a bit of a conservative on most things, so this surprised Shooter. He knew better, but he asked anyway. He asked "what rights?"

Shooter's daughter said Trump would make abortion illegal and force women to pay for their own birth control. Shooter asked where his daughter had heard that. She said "everyone knows it". Shooter asked "but how do you know it" and pointed out that Trump has never taken a position on abortion and even if he has, he changes his mind almost daily on most things, so how could she know he intended to ban abortion and make women pay for their own birth control, and while we are on the subject, why shouldn't women pay for their own birth control?
It went down hill from there. Badly. Shooters daughter went thermonuclear.

The point wasn't that there was disagreement. Shooter and his daughter and his sister in law have always seen politics as a point of spirited discussion.

The point was that now, Trump unsupporters are rabid about Trump. They hate him. They fear him. They revile him. They hate any who might support anything Trump. They fear Trump supporters. They revile Trump supporters.

What the hell, is there some space ray hitting America right now?
Discourse should be possible even when the parties so adamantly disagree.
